I celebrated my 6 wedding anniversary which was lovely.

We got married on Bonfire night so neither of us ever forget!

We met on New Years Eve so that's an easy one too :0)

I have started exhibiting at an all British Gallery "Things British" in Carnaby Street London. It's full of exciting goodies hand crafted by British Artists! Great for some unique Christmas shopping.

Me and the first Delivery of stock packed!...and the clock! Finally got to bed at 3am but didn't sleep for worrying about breakages! Good old Royal Mail it all arrived safely! Phew! We have only had 3 breakages in 11 years of regular posting of Fine Bone China! (touch wood)

so I don't know why I was so worried anyway!

This is my display practice set up at home, I am hoping to show you all some real photos from the Gallery soon..

An Edinburgh Scottish lass, born & bred, who now lives in the Lovely Lake District in England, UK.

She loves all things beautiful, especially neo-victorian, steampunk & gothic creations she also loves old, vintage items

Hatastic! is an eclectic range of unique handmade hats, fascinators & hair accessories inspired by the beautiful bits & bobs sourced from remnant boxes & junk shops, made & designed entirely by Chloe Haywood.

Jane Crick is inspired by her love of nature and flowers, which she combines with her graphic design skills of over 20 years, to produce bold designs using colour and shape to convey form an texture. Each card is hand-embellished with at least one Swarovski crystal to give that extra sparkle!

This week I've been mostly completing orders.

Ducks and Seagulls Galore!

Busy working on my Exhibition which starts at The Lander Gallery in Truro on the 1st September!

Ducks and Seagulls have been the subject this week!

An arrival of 400 different buttons has totally side tracked me into sewing little bags with buttons and felt flowers. I think they will make lovely mini party bags or wedding favours and I will add them to the new party section on my website soon! I have also been working on my new felt corsages as we have sold out! Pictures to follow!

The Summer shopping evenings have been going really well. Thank you to everyone who escaped the Sofa to have a browse

Look who wondered into the Kitchen last night!

Cat Door Stops

I spent a lot of the day creating new Cat door Stops they are a mix of felt and vintage fabric. I shall Stuff them with sand and fluff later and sew their bottoms on!

Eleanor thought it was giant Fuzzy Felt! She was very excited!

Wednesday & More about my Gallery!

Attempting to work at home with the kids. Summer Madness seems to have spread and they are very hyper! I think it's the paddling pools fault, they must be water-powered!

I have just ordered some note cards with my lovely Bumblebee on and these will be available to buy on my website soon

I am currently updating all the photos on my website. This is proving to be quite a challenge!

I also ordered some "this way" Signs and banners for my Summer Gallery Open Evenings. These start on 2nd August and will be running every Tuesday and Thursday 5.30-9pm until the end of August.

The knitted Cushion!

I added some Crocheted Butterflies to my Cushion, some embroidered curls and scattering of buttons!

Very pleased I got the cushion finished!

My new Logo!

A big thank you to Keith at www.2ks.co.uk for helping me put together a logo that matches my website! I can add it to adverts and invoices, how lovely!

The Map I designed for Poldark Mine!

This year I designed a new map for the children's trail at Poldark Mine! It took several days staring at aerial maps online but I think it came together nicely in the end.

I also designed Piran the Poldark Mining Mole! and here he is!

Making the most of the weekend

My kids have gone for their dress rehearsal and all is calm apart from the churning of the washing machine and the hum of the dishwasher. My in-laws are down and my in-law are playing shops with my husband whilst I get some things done here :0)

The Stuff I kept!

These are a few of the pieces I couldn't part with!

As I mentioned the sun is shining and guests are about, so I got my Orange Juice Jug out! I painted this about 6 years ago. I produced a glassware range for a hotel in Bournemouth. I just had to have a piece for myself!

I also treated myself to an Orchard Glory Jug for all my spoons!

My Retro flowers Teapot in action!

I worked really hard on this flower arrangement for the bathroom! Got to impress the mother-in-law!

The Bluebells painting in my Bathroom looks great with the new flower arrangement!

Thursday is my day at home with Eleanor. Today we made a dolly hospital, coloured several pigs and ate heart shaped sandwiches! We watch a film together in the afternoon so I get a little time to stitch a few things.

I finished these little gift bags today. They are great for filling with little goodies for a friend. You can fit a mini emergency sewing kit inside (mini scissors, thread, needles, pins and a tape measure) So that you have everything to hand! I have one on my welsh dresser, ready for action!

I also managed to finish these wet-felted bay charms! Love the vibrant colours.

I add them to my embroidered bags (you can spot them in the corner of this photo)

The painting above was a bit of fun. I used to paint bright acrylics and water-colour flowers alongside my china range and this is something I've got back into this year. I have painted three more for the collection but I haven't added them to the gallery yet.

What a busy day!

Empty they make amusing hats and Mum and I had great fun modeling them all around the sewing room!

I've just worked out what's been wrong with my cat all day. He has Been wistfully hanging around me all day long and it's because of my basket of ribbons! He just adores ribbons! Poor thing I just couldn't work it out.

My Husband has just tucked a long bit of Bias binding in his trousers in the attempt to multitask and the cat has embedded his claws and teeth into his leg by accident!

Mustn't laugh.......Ha ha ha ha ha ha!

The Two Huskies I won!

Well what a day I've had! This morning still bleary eyed, I sifted through my emails and to my astonishment, I found a message saying that I had won two soft toy huskies from the lovely people at Activities Abroad on their Facebook giveaway! Activities Abroad is the UK's leading independent activity holiday provider. My poor alarmed husband must have wondered what on earth was going on as I was frantically hammered on the bathroom door to tell him the exciting news!

I spent the day painting wedding gifts for some of my lovely customers including another Strawberry Cake Stand (Pictured Below) It is going to be on the head table covered in chocolates! What fun!

Today's Favourite Etsy Find!

I have been collecting little bits and pieces in a shoe box for nearly 10 years now in the hope of one day building and filling my very own dolls house.

Today's favorite Folksy Find

Kate (lilipopo) is a home educating mum who loves to draw and sew, especially as it this means she can work from home. From her shop I have a little bag which I keep my DS in another bag for my Video camera. A keying for my shed key and a little purse which I keep embroidery threads in. I just adore her quirky designs and I'm sure you will too!
